DOYLE NEWS -OCTOBER 2008

Sorry, i'm a little behind on the family news. We had a great time on the east coast in October the colors were the best i've ever seen. This was our third time!
Cooperstown NY....... I love the porch here. It's great for rocking, reading and afternoon tea.

This was our room at the Inn.

Mystic, Connecticut. This was view from our room. And we of course had to have Mystic Pizza, while there.

Sturbridge MA.

Sturbridge Village
1800's Village

Battledore and Shuttlecock. Kind of like Badmitton.

Pat and Greg played a game or two!

Pat wins!

Time to ship home. Packing the car at times was like a puzzle.

The colors almost don't seem real!

Four Colummns Inn. Our favorite place to stay in Newfane Vermont

The view from our room. Town common

In Jackson, NH, every year there is a big contest and it seems like almost everyone in the town participates. They are call pumpkin people!

The pumkinhead Beatles, they also had grey's anatomy!

Our hotel........... This hotel is very old and still family run!

I love the porch. It was great for our after dinner, Bailey's and Coffee.

what do you all think of the new blog? i love it. good idea, auntie and bill.

we have been having the winters of all winters here in portland. deb, i saw your st. louis snow photos and i had a pts moment. here's some of our snow...

above is my apartment under snow. we are not used to this kind of snow here. portland shut down for about 10 days. it's the most snow we've seen here since the 50's or something. we've also had numerous random snow days following our 10 days. weird. it's unusual and i don't like it!

that's all. i hope everyone is well. peace.

News from the Keyes Family

St. Louis Snow Abbey and Her boyfriend

The Keyes Family

Nick, Scott and Abbey

Everything is going well with the Keyes Family.
Scott and Abbey finished their first semester of college and did well.
This is Scott's second year but transferred to a different college and lives with two of his friends. He usually comes home on the weekend, so I can do his laundry.
Abbey is in her first year at Mizzou (University of Mo-Columbia) , lives in a dorm, and comes home too much because her boyfriend is here at home.
Nick decided not to do wrestling this year, he is just sticking with football. He got his license in Oct.
So pretty much it's Jerry and I. This kids go do their own thing.
Jerry's work is a bit slow with the economy, but we are hanging in there.
And I am still working at an elementary school as the librarian.
Hope everyone's holidays were great.

what?

I want to know who started this Family News blog? I was poking around and found this! The people back east are a little leary of this, but I think it's a good idea. Is there a way, that I can have them send their news and pictures and I can add it for them. I think they would find this much easier. Also, it can be printed out I discovered, for those that don't have computer access, like Aunt Jean.
Please let me know.
